Protecting the Filters that Protect You

Sunshine. It’s one of the best things about living in southwest Florida. This is the Sunshine State, after all, and we enjoy glorious, warming rays year-round.

But just as we have to protect our skin from the sun’s rays, your water filter system needs sunblock, too. We install our systems as discreetly as possible so they don’t disturb your home’s appearance. But no matter how inconspicuous they are, those high-quality systems will be subjected to Florida sunshine year-round. They may be made for all-weather endurance, but the unrelenting sunshine can take its toll, especially on systems that are branded with dark-color tanks.

For instance, we recently installed an AquaSana 1000 system in a Manatee County home. AquaSana is a renowned brand with a stellar reputation, and we love giving that option to our customers. But AquaSana’s tanks are dark blue, meaning they absorb more sunlight than a lighter-colored tank. That absorption causes them to heat up to higher temperatures more quickly, and they’ll ultimately undergo more sun damage in a shorter period of time.

Of course, some water filter companies aren’t concerned about longevity. Tank breakdown would mean more service calls and ultimately a much quicker replacement.

But here at Healthy Water, we want to set our customers up right, the first time, and with systems that will last the long run. For this AquaSana installation, we included light grey-beige weather covers that fit over the blue tanks. Not only do these covers totally protect the tanks from sun damage, they also enhance the system’s tasteful appearance.

These Florida clients will enjoy top-of-the-line water filtration for even longer. That’s the sort of sunshine service Healthy Water Systems is proud to offer.
